than 400 physicians practice in Springfield and represent all major specialties

CoxHealth was the original presence in the South National and
Primrose "medical mile" area with construction of Primrose Place,
a 130-bed skilled long-term health care facility that opened in 1980.
Cox North is a community hospital in north Springfield. Cox North offers
a full spectrum of services including urgent care and emergency services.
An extension of the Cox South campus, Cox Walnut Lawn offers urgent care,
skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services such as the Comprehensive
Wound Healing Center. Cox Monett is a 46-bed community hospital
in Monett, Mo.
CoxHealth also includes more than 50 regional physician clinics
throughout the Ozarks; Oxford HealthCare, a home health agency; Burrell
Behavioral Health, offering behavioral health services in Springfield
and three additional counties; Cox HPS of the Ozarks, a home parenteral
agency; Home Support Services, providing home care equipment; ambulance
stations in seven counties; and various other physician office buildings

Cox provides care to an 18-county primary service area in southwest Missouri
