We are committed to providing behavioral health services that are
tailored to meet the specific and individual needs of adults. Problems
have solutions, and we want to help you find the ones that work for
you.
Emergency services are available 24 hours, seven days a week for
individuals facing a crisis. Professional counselors help clients identify
and manage immediate problems, then recommend a course of action to
prevent recurrence of the problem. For 24-hour crisis assistance call

Outpatient counseling and psychotherapy are available with
licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers and
licensed psychologists. These services include individual, group, family
and marital therapy.
Staff psychiatrists provide evaluation, treatment, medication
management and consultation.
The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit offers structured,
short-term residential programming focused on assisting mentally ill
adults (or others facing severe emotional crises) avoid hospitalization.
Burrell also provides specialized adult services for those individuals
diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness. Through
Burrell Transitions a comprehensive, community-based
psychiatric rehabilitation center we seek to promote several basic
goals on behalf of persons with serious and persistent mental illnesses.
These include:
- active participation in the treatment, rehabilitation and program
development processes
- normalization and community integration
- independent functioning to the extent possible
- achievement of productive and satisfying lives related to the
individuals capabilities and desires
- access to a complete and coordinated array of mental health and
other services according to individual needs and circumstances.
In order for these goals to be realized our clients must have access to
a full array of treatment, rehabilitation, housing, financial assistance
and other human services.
Burrell has an array of housing services to provide structure and
support according to each individual's capacity for independent
functioning. These include independent living arrangements,
semi-independent apartments and structured housing.
Burrells community support staff help clients attain and then
maintain integration into the community in their own apartment or home
setting. The intensity of services is individualized to suit each clients
needs and includes in-home visits twice monthly to several times weekly,
coupled with assistance in arranging community services or help
facilitating communication with landlords, neighbors, friends and family.
The two goals of the program: to prevent hospitalization and to help
clients achieve the goals they have set for themselves, better insure that
clients achieve their full potential and improve the overall quality of
their lives.
The Center for Addictions provides treatment services at Cox
North for chemically dependent adults ages 18 and up.
Inpatient services include two 20-bed units where we provide
rapid evaluation, stabilization and short-term treatment for adults
suffering from a variety of psychiatric disorders.
