Heart Health Education
Cox is designated by the American Heart Association as an Emergency Cardiovascular
Care Community Training Center. We offer community CPR training and other
health education programs such
as Early Cardiac Care Givers, smoking cessation and more.
Chest Pain Emergency Rooms
The emergency departments
at Cox North and Cox South have dedicated rooms for patients experiencing
chest pain. We use emergency protocols that save precious minutes and
in some cases, can even interrupt a heart attack while it's still in progress.
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
This intensive, personalized
rehab program is offered both at Cox North and Cox South for inpatients
and outpatients who:
- are recovering from a heart attack
- are recovering from heart surgery or angioplasty
- have angina
- have COPD (emphysema, asthma or chronic bronchitis).
Cardiac Support Center
A comprehensive program
for patients requiring infusion therapy for congestive heart failure.
We design individual treatment plans to strengthen your heart function.
Emphasis is placed on education, nutrition, behavioral health and exercise.
Children's Heart Center
Board certified pediatric cardiologists offer comprehensive treatment
for children with heart problems.
