- Coordination re-training
- Edema
management
- Pain management/treatment
- Adaptive equipment
- Sensory desensitization
- Sensory re-education
- Strengthening
- Work hardening
- Scar management
- Range of motion exercises
- Splint fabrication (protective/immobilizing or dynamic/static)
- Patient education/injury prevention
- Serial casting
Services are provided by occupational therapists and/or
physical therapists specialized in both neurological and orthopedic disorders.
A certified hand therapist is available at both the Cox South and Cox
North Hand Clinic.
Patient Profile
We treat Individuals experiencing hand problems or injuries
including, but not limited to:
Wrist/finger fractures,
flexor/extensor tendon injuries, carpal
tunnel syndrome, arthritis,
tendinitis,
post-joint replacement, plastic
surgery, amputations, lacerations, avulsions, nerve damage, contusions,
replantations, crush injuries, revascularizations, reflex
sympathetic dystrophy and ganglionectomies.
