Cox Adult Speech/Language
and Hearing Services
We evaluate and treat individuals with communicative, hearing,
cognitive or swallowing disorders and assist them in achieving the highest
level of functioning possible.
Common patient diagnoses include stroke,
traumatic brain injury, degenerative
neurological diseases, laryngectomy, voice disorders, Parkinson�s,
multiple
sclerosis, ALS
and tracheotomy.
We provided include evaluation and treatment for:
- Hearing impairments
- Receptive and expressive language disorders
- Articulatory and motor speech disorders
- Voice impairments
- Swallowing/feeding difficulties
- Fluency disorders
- Cognitive deficits.
Our speech/language pathologists and audiologists also provide specialized
services such as augmentative/alternative communication devices, computer-enhanced
therapy and a soundproof audiology booth at Cox North.
Note: Physician referral is required.
