Cox Sports Medicine
and Outpatient Physical Therapy
Offering evaluation, treatment and preventive/post-injury
education to people of all ages with musculoskeletal injuries or neurological
disorders. Professional, collegiate, school and recreational athletes
are welcome.
Physical Therapy
Many of the problems we treat are associated with stroke,
traumatic head injury, spinal cord injury,
joint replacement, fractures,
back/neck problems,
amputations, wounds and
more. Physical therapy helps patients return to as normal a pattern of
movement and functioning as possible through the use of therapeutic exercise.
Therapy is available to people who have problems affecting
their ability to walk and move in a functional manner due to weakness,
injury or joint limitation of movement.
Sports Medicine/Athletic Training
We focus on recognition, evaluation and immediate care of
athletic injuries, as well as rehabilitation, reconditioning and overall
prevention of injuries. Our services are designed to return athletes to
play safely and expediently.

Referrals
Physical therapy services require a physician referral.
Sports Medicine/Athletic Trainer treatments require a
physician referral. However, sports injury evaluations may be initiated
by self-referral or by a coach, family member, physician or other allied
health care professional.
