Weekend of Miracles to benefit Ozarks children
This year Children’s Miracle Network celebrates 18 years of helping
sick and injured children in the Ozarks. CMN will have special events
throughout the year focusing on patients who have been helped by the
program.
Kicking off the 2003 Children’s Miracle Network Telethon weekend will
be the Cox Medical Mile race to benefit CMN Saturday, May 31. The 7 a.m. race
includes competitive heats and a fun walk/run with an award ceremony wrap-up.
Activities include special appearances by the Hershey’s Kiss Mobile and
CMN C.A.R.E. Mobile, music from Clear Channel Communication, face painting,
cotton candy and snow cones – and much more!
All proceeds from the race benefit the C.A.R.E. Mobile. Call 269-5513
for a registration brochure or download a form from the Miracle Weekend
Web page
at www.coxhealth.com.
Then tune in to KY3 at 10:30 p.m. Saturday for an hour and a half special, “Our
Kids, Our Community, Our Miracles,” hosted live at Cox South. See the
history of CMN come alive through the children who have received services.
Learn about Children’s Hospital Services at CoxHealth and be part of
a miracle by calling in your support during the program.
Rejoin the action on KY3 Sunday, June 1, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for the
CMN Telethon. Outside activities include the Credit Managers Dunk
Tank sending Ned Reynolds
into the chilly water for the kids. New this year is a Car Seat Safety
Check from noon to 4 p.m. Simply drive through the outpatient entrance
on the southwest
side of Cox South and a car seat technician will ensure your infant, convertible
or booster car seat is safely installed.
