Pediatric Pre-operative Party
CoxHealth Children's Hospital Services
The Children's Hospital Services staff of CoxHealth wants to help you and your child understand
more about his or her upcoming surgery and hospitalization. We realize
that
fear of the unknown may cause emotional trauma in children, and we hope
to relieve some of that fear. Our program is designed to give information
to your child in terms he or she will understand. We hope this will make
your child more comfortable with surgery and hospitalization.
We will also provide education on our Family Surgery Program. The Family
Surgery Program gives children's families the option of allowing one support
person in the operating room during the induction of anesthesia.
The program will answer any questions you may have.
