- Synagis® – a medication
given for the prevention of serious
lower respiratory tract disease caused by respiratory syncytial
virus (RSV). It is given to infants born prematurely
(less than 36 weeks gestation)
or infants and children less than 2 years of
age who have chronic lung disease. Synagisâ is given monthly
from fall through spring. HPS is involved in the coordination of care
and provision
of medication for
these pediatric patients.
- Total Parenteral Nutrition – (TPN)– By providing
Total Parenteral Nutrition therapy in the home, Home
Parenteral Services can significantly decrease a patient’s
length of hospitalization and contain medical
costs. Proven safe and efficient, TPN solutions are prepared under aseptic
conditions
with strict
attention to sterile technique.
- Enteral Nutrition – Home Parenteral Services can
provide Enteral Nutrition
in the home or long-term care facility so that
the patient can enjoy maximum independence and
quality of life. We can provide
both prescription
and nonprescription formulas, delivering all
supplies and equipment directly to the patient’s home or long-term care facility.
