Cox Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Services are
accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation of Rehab Facilities (CARF), the nationally recognized
accrediting authority of organizations serving people with disabilities.
CARF monitors health care providers and gives credentials to those facilities
that meet the highest standards of excellence and quality care.
Inpatient services are provided 24 hours a day to individuals
experiencing physical or cognitive deficits as a result of head
injuries, strokes,
spinal cord injuries and other injuries or illnesses.

Cox Sports Medicine/Athletic Training Services are provided
on an outreach basis to area schools
and universities, including a satellite Sports Medicine Clinic at Evangel
University in Springfield. Athletic training coverage is also
provided for area sports teams and community events.
Outpatient services are based on each individual’s strengths,
needs, abilities and preferences. Improving each individual’s quality
of life and reaching his or her maximum physical, psychological, social,
vocational and educational potential is inherent in each service we provide.
Services are patient-centered, goal-oriented and focused on helping patients
return to the highest level of independence and functioning possible,
despite residual disability.
Depending on the particular needs of each individual, one-on-one
therapy or group therapy services are offered by licensed/certified health
care professionals. Outpatient services are provided under the direction
of a team of board-certified physiatrists specialized in rehabilitation.
In addition, Cox Sports Medicine services are provided under the direction
of board-certified physicians specialized in orthopedics.
