The Field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a fast-growing area of radiology because
of the incredible images produced and the ever-increasing application
of the technology. It uses a powerful magnet in conjunction with ordinary
radio waves instead of X-rays to create the images, and has no know side-effects.
Mission top
The Mission of CoxHealth School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
is to provide professionally competent radiographers with education and
clinical training in the field of magnetic resonance imaging. The faculty
of this program strives to instill in graduates high standards of patient
care, professional performance as well as personal and professional pride.
Admission Requirements top
CoxHealth School of Magnetic Resonance Imaging is open to all
people 18 years of age and older, regardless of race, sex, religion, disability
or national origin. Applicants must be physically capable of performing
all job requirements of a registered radiographer, and must be graduates
of an accredited radiologic technology program and be ARRT registered
or registry-eligible.

A non-refundable $30 application fee must accompany all applications.
Transcripts
An official copy of all college transcripts must be sent to the school
office, including any transcripts or certificates that document completion
of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program.
