Requirements
Degree Program
Mammography is a rapidly growing post graduate field of radiologic
technology. It is a specialized diagnostic tool utlized in the early detection
of breast cancer.
This specialty of radiography provides the registered radiographer
an opportunity to work closely with physicians to aid in the evaluation,
diagnosis and treatment of patients with breast care concerns. The Breast
Care Clinic of CoxHealth is committed to accreditation, research
and clinical excellence. As a member of the multidisciplinary Breast Care
Clinic, the registered mammographer performs screening mammography and
participates in state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound,
stereotactic biopsy, mammotome, sentinel node localization and galactography.

The Mission of CoxHealth School of Mammography is to provide
professionally competent radiographers with education and clinical training
in the field of mammography. The faculty of this program strives to instill
in graduates high standards of patient care and professional performance
as well as personal and professional pride.
Admission Requirements top
CoxHealth School of Mammography is open to all people 18 years
of age and older, regardless of race, sex, religion, disability or national
origin. Applicants must be physically capable of performing all job requirements
of a registered radiographer and must be graduates of an accredited radiologic
technology program and be ARRT registered or registry-eligible.

A non-refundable $30 application fee must accompany all applications.
Transcripts
An official copy of all college transcripts must be sent to the school
office, including any transcripts or certificates that document completion
of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program.
